Adam Silverman and Eli Bonerz, graduates of Rhode Island School of Design, met MIKE D. of Beastie Boys and opened “XLARGE STORE” in Vermont Avenue, Los Angeles, in 1991, where they sold what they wanted to have. “XLARGE”, the original brand of “XLARGE STORE” will be celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2016.
“XLARGE” asked Rintaro Tanaka, the editor of vintage fashion archive photobook, “My Freedamn!”to work on its book to leave its long and deep history for future, which the brand had built for a quarter of a century. Rintaro photographed and edited its trace through his view and published “True OG Streetwear”.

This is a history book which consists of interviews of the founders, Paul T, Billy Valdes, Ricky Powel, and Slick, the artists who represent street culture, as well as valuable photos and archives, images, and collaborations in chronological order.

There will be special booth at “Inspiration LA 2016”, celebrating the release of the book. The launch party will be held on Feb.12 (Fri.) from 6pm.
